This certainly is the oldest gallery in Vence. It was founded by Alphonse Chave in 1947. In 1975, Pierre and Madeleine Chave succeeded him.The gallery contains works by Jean Dubuffet, Marx Ernst, Henri Michaux, Man Ray, G. Ribermont-Dessaignes, Fred Deux and Slavko Kopac. For more than 50 years it has been a symbol for the “Art Brut” and the “Insolite”.
